Download Festival

When: June 13-15

Where: Donington Park, Derby

What: Light-hearted, fair-weathered festival goers, look away now. Download is an unadulterated homage to all things dark, where emo meets punk and metal. Rock heavies, Kiss and The Offspring both roll in off the Atlantic shores to headline and induct newer bands like The Subways into the Download family. Having played host to a plethora of rock legends like Iron Maiden and Metallica in their 18-year history they know their stuff. And when the moshing gets too much, try your hand at being the next Mikkey Dee in drumming workshops or tattoo parlour.

Tickets: £130 for weekend ticket without camping. £150 for weekend ticket with camping and family camping. £65 for day tickets on Friday (Kiss), £60 for day tickets on the Saturday (The Offspring) and Sunday (Lostprophets). There will be lockers available for £11 and car parking costs £10 for the whole weekend if you book or £15 on the day.

Drugs with Ash

Last night we visited the Ash tourbus to live out some rock'n'roll fantasies. We thought all our gossip horses had come in at once when Tim Wheeler shouted out, "where's that coke?" (He didn't mean cola). And sure enough, he pulled out a baggie of...
