Spread across the Newquay coast, the week-long Boardmasters event is one of the most picturesque in England. Beach sessions during the week are rounded off with a weekend of music. The highlight of the festival is the 5-Star Rip Curl Pro Men's World Qualifying Series (WQS) surfing competition with $100,000 up for grabs but skateboard events and bikini competitions are also worth a look. And after a week of hard graft sat on the beach walk along the shore to Watergate bay to see some of the best bands touring the festival circuit this year.
