Late Of The Pier, Tricky and The Whip also on the bill at Manchester bash

Reverend And The Makers, Late Of The Pier, Tricky, The Whip and Simian Mobile Disco head up the line-up for this year's In The City Opening Party.

The event, hosted by The Warehouse Project and Eat Your Own Ears, will happen on October 4 at Manchester's Piccadilly Arches.

The event forms part of a 12-week run for The Warehouse Project, which this year runs from September 26 until January 1, 2009.

In The City organisers, meanwhile, have reminded artists that the deadline for demo submissions for the In The City Unsigned competition is this Friday (August 8).
