'Traffic And Weather' will feature a special guest

Fountains Of Wayne have released details of their fifth album, due for release in April – and it will feature a special guest.

'Traffic And Weather' is the follow-up to 2003’s 'Welcome Interstate Managers'.

The band also enlisted the help of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bassist Melissa Auf der Maur who sings backing vocals on the track 'Someone To Love'

The album will feature 14 tracks, including ’92 Subaru’, ’Fire In The Canyon’, ‘’Seatbacks and Traytables’ and ’New Routine’.

The quartet are currently putting together a list of live dates, two of which are set to include the Bonnaroo and Coachella festivals in the US.

'Traffic And Weather' is released April 3.
