Singer/guitarist reveals who he wants to get int the studio with next

Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos has revealed that he wants to amp up his career as a record producer, and has revealed who he wants to get in the studio with.

Speaking to BBC 6music, the singer/guitarist, who produced The Cribs' latest album, 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever', spoke of his love of getting behind the mixing desks.

"I'd love to do more producing," he said. "We built a studio in Glasgow which was where we recorded all of this [the forthcoming] Franz Ferdinand record.

"I was talking to Sons & Daughters recently and I'd love to go in and record them.

"And Panico, the band from Chile, who are now in Paris who we toured with recently – I'd love to record them. If there's a band that excites me and thinks it could work with me then I'd love to, it's just a case of time as for a while we're gonna be busy touring."
