Jay-Z's Glastonbury performance boosts Oasis record sales

The rapper himself is also experiencing a resurgence

Jay-Z's controversial set at Glastonbury has had at least one surprising knock on effect.

'Wonderwall', the Oasis song that Jay-Z mockingly appeared onstage to, has experienced a resurgence in sales and is now headed for this week's top 100.

Furthermore, the album it appears on, '(What's The Story) Morning Glory' has experienced a 200 per-cent increase in sales since the Brooklyn rapper's Saturday night headline performance.

Jay-Z himself has also received a boost to record sales. BBC Newsreports that his 2004 single '99 Problems' is also set for a return to the charts this weekend.

Other artists experiencing a post-Glastonbury bounce in sales include Kings Of Leon, The Verve and Elbow, whose recent album 'The Seldom Seen Kid' is expected to re-enter the album chart's top 20.
