Lucid Dreams

Weird year for Glasgow’s prodigals so far: a handful of club shows, Latitude’s politely received set… that’s it. What’s brewing? The answer: a Stooges beat, some laser-synth stun-guns borrowed from Mars Attacks!, some bhangra tabla. All this while Alex archly ponders “Ithaca”, “Istanbul” and how “there is no nation of you/There is no nation of me”. It won’t crater indie discos like ‘Take Me Out’ – what could? – but it’s a brave stride forward.
