Golden Phone

When she’s not making mixtapes or scoring for the London Philharmonic, steely-eyed lo-fi goddess Mica Levi is creating tricksy tunes like ‘Golden Phone’. Nervously plucking an acoustic she’s channelling Broken Social Scene, but with cruising blips and off-centre bleeps stolen from left-of-centre droolers Hot Chip. Oh, and then there’s the mid-song, roaring keys break down. It’s fun, flipped-out and held together with the thinnest of phone lines...

Is this band serious? Is this a serious name for a band?
