Standing Next To Me

If you’ve actually somehow managed to not hear this before now, wrap your lugs round two minutes of Scott Walker-meets-Jake Thackray sweetness: Turner and Kane (a crime-fighting duo if ever we heard one) weave their voices in perfect, rough-diamond harmony over swishes of flamenco guitar, galloping, coconut-shells-for-horses drums and distant rumbles of timpani. Short, sweet, and perfectly formed in its own – ahem – understated way.

another fab track from these guys. I never really noticed how much miles and alex's voices are sooo similar. Still they are great and standing next to me, is another track like age of the understatement, which is one which continuously stays in your head. xxxx nice track

why has it only been given 6/10 when the review suggests it deserves more. 10/10 for me

Not only world is full of this cheap pseudo-retrorock indie bands, AND NOW, they create bands within themselves, someone please kill me.

NME wrote a review in the magazine a few weeks ago, that the only reason tlsp we're getting on so well, was because of the sucess of alex turner. i disagree dearly.the last shadow puppets are way ahead of arctic monkeys, not saying they're better, but they're more calmer, and melow. when arctic monkeys we're all about the guitar skreeks and dancing hooligans at gigs.i love this song. the video is abit weird, but it doesn't let them down. 9/10.
